Why Cryptick?

I created Cryptick out of a desire to share crossword clues with friends and family, without having to sign up for an account or give away any of my data.

Cryptick was designed from the ground up to be client-side only. There is no backend, no store of clues; everything is local to the device you're playing on to give you complete control of your experience.

I chose to use Plausible.io for analytics because it best aligned with my principles of data minimisation while still allowing me to learn about how users interact with Cryptick. You can ready more about Plausible's approach on their website.
